Its natural to feel bit anxious about staying in a hospital. You will have our entire hospital team looking after your health , comfort and safety.

A) What do I Carry along with me ?

Please make sure you carry,

  • 1) Comfortable clothes
  • 2) Slippers
  • 3) Toiletries
  • 4) Any equipment's used in your care like crutches, orthotics
  • 5) Any personal care items
  • 6) Any paperwork or medical records previously given by either our hospital or your previous hospital admission in ANY hospital
  • 7) Any medical orders/ paperwork given by other doctors involved in your care
  • 8) List of medications that you take
  • 9) Any test results even if it was done in our hospital
  • 10) All medications that you currently take

B) What do I NOT bring ?

  • 1) Jewellery
  • 2) Expensive gadgets like laptop—First Neuro is not responsible for any lost or stolen items
  • 3) Infections: If you have any infections like cold, cough or feeling unwell please do not visit your friend/relative who is admitted in the hospital. You do not want your loved one to get your infection and make them mor sick or at times even cause death Please sit at a safe distance from the admitted patient. Avoid touching them, their belongings, drips, catheters or medical gadgets . This would spread infection or can damage expensive medical equipment's leading to faulty readings and recordings of the patients vital signs. If the admitted patients have any infective conditions –you can get that infection from them some of them can be very serious ( e.g. Meningitis)
  • 4) Avoid getting the children, If you do get them please do not leave them unattended. There are instances where children have caused damage to the equipment's /medical gadgets and and IV lines

C)When and how many of my friends and family can visit me ?

Total of 2 visitors are allowed per patients per day.

D) What if you are admitted in ICU or Semi ICU but not in the hospital rooms

You can ask for separate room to be allocated to your family or friends at an additional cost. This will depend on the availability of such rooms Alternatively One of your relative or well wishers can avail the visitors room for a nominal cost

APPOINTMENTS

We encourage all patients to make an appointment prior to arrival. This will help reduce your waiting times and enhances your experience in the hospital. Patients who do not have appointment ( walk in patients ) are seen after the patients with appointment are seen.

1) How to make an appointment ?

There are 3 ways you can make an appointment , either by phone, email or in person at the reception

2) What happens after making the appointment ?

You will receive a text message confirming the appointment You will also get a phone call one day before your appointment as a reminder

3) If I want to cancel or reschedule an appointment when should I do it ?

Earlier you inform us about canceling or rescheduling the appointment , the better.

4) What should I bring to my appointment ?

Please bring any Valid ID (AADHAR CARD,, Drivers licence,Ration Card, Passport copy Copy of any letter given by your family or referring doctor. Please bring ALL xrays, scans , blood test results that you have even if it is not related to the current problem. Bring ALL medications you are currently taking even if it is not related to your current problem. Bring any discharge summaries issued by any other hospital you have visited in the past , even if its not related to the current problem

5) What happens when I arrive to the hospital for my appointment ?

Please proceed to the reception . One of our friendly staff will complete the registration process. You are required to fill an form with your details. Our friendly staff would help you fill this form

Once this form is filled you will be directed to the billing department where you are required to pay for the consultation or for the tests or scans or procedure. Once you have completed this you will be directed to the relevant department You will be asked to take a seat and wait for your turn Throughout the above process our friendly staff members guide you at every step

6) How do I pay ?

You can either pay by CASH/CARD/UPI

7) What if am not feeling well and needs urgent medical attention ?

As soon as you arrive please inform any staff member including security person , youn will be directed to the appropriate area and one of our medical staff will attend to you immediatly.

8) How will I know how long do I have to wait before I get to see the doctor or get the tests done ?

During the registration process our staff would inform you about the waiting times.

9) How many of my relatives or friends can accompany for my consultation ?

For out patient appointment maximum two people are allowed inside the consultation room For some areas like scans or tests only the patients are allowed inside while the family members wait in the waiting room.

10) Once a test or scans are done do I have to come back another day to discuss the result ?

We make all the efforts to get the test results are ready at the earliest,( usually the same day,) and arrange to see one of our doctors to discuss the test result and the treatment plan. Its very rare to ask you to come back at a later date unless it’s a very rare or sophisticated tests which requires to be sent outside of the hospital or state.

11) I am attending the hospital only to get a scan or special test done ?

Please proceed to the reception our staff will take your details and guide you through the process. You do not have to see the doctors if you have come just for a test.

12) I am coming to the hospital for a minor procedure or dressing change ?

For minor procedures requiring anesthesia, you will be asked to fill some paperwork Please proceed to the reception . You will then proceed to the billing department . After this you will be escorted to the relevant department by one of our helpful staff. For other minor procedures like suture removal or dressing no paperwork is required please talk to the reception staff.

13) Where do I get information if I have any questions to ask ?

This website has extensive information regarding all the process and formalities of the hospital. This website also has medical information on various neurological conditions and tests done in this hospital. If your question is still not answered please do not hesitate to talk to any of our staff at the relevant departments. They will be more than happy to answer your questions.

VISITOR INFORMATION

First Neuro is committed to take care of you and your family . We understand the importance of having near and dear ones visit the patients .

Please help us to take care of your loved ones by following some simple advice

  • a) Please maintain strict hygiene in and around the hospital. This is most important in a hospital set up like ours where an infection control is paramount to the safety and well being of your loved ones.
  • b) Throw the rubbish in the bins provided
  • c) Please do not spit around the premises
  • d) Please do not chew Paan or Betelnuts in the premises
  • e) Entire hospital premise is SMOKE FREE
  • f) Use of mobile phones are restricted inside the hospital for the safety and privacy of the patients and their relatives
  • g) No voice or video recordings are permitted inside the hospital –its illegal and subject to the full force of law It violates the privacy of the staff and the patients
  • h) Please keep the noise levels to a minimum for the comfort of the other patients
  • i) Consumption of alcohol is not permitted in the hospital premises
  • j) Please do not touch any of the equipments, IV lines/bottles/ tubes
  • /clothings/beddings/wirings /monitors of the patient to prevent the infection to your dear ones. If you see any problems with any of the equipments or connections please inform the staff who is more than happy to assist you.
  • k) Avoid bringing flowers. Tender coconuts are not allowed in the hospital premises
  • l) NO outside medications or medical consumables are allowed to be used for any patients during the hospital stay. This is to prevent any medication errors . We have a pharmacy open 24 hours . Our nurses will supervise the administration of all medications for our patients

There are two food outlets. The canteen serves both vegetarian and Non vegetarian cuisine in the 1 st floor is for benefit of all the patients and visitors.
The pricing is kept low for your benefit.
Timings : 6 am to 9.30 pm
“CAFE COFFEE DAY” at the 1 st Floor serves savouries, cakes and beverages
Timings : 9am to 6pm

Banking:

The hospital has an ATM in the outpatient area.
If you need to use the services of the bank Go to VIJAYA BANK at PADIL JUNCTION or Canara Bank at Sahyadri College just 10mins drive through National Highway towards Bangalore
